Supported iTunes Store's DRM free initiative

I updated my year old DRMed music collection, and purchased a new album off the new DRM free iTuens Store Plus. Apple still includes data about who bought the track, but the digital locking mechanism has been removed.
The tracks are stored in .m4a containers (AAC codec, part of the MPEG-4 spesification) vs. the regular DRMed tracks .m4p container. ("a" for audio, "p" for protected.)

Pandora is closing the jukebox for the global market

BBC News reports that the popular recommendation based, online radio station Pandora is being forced to shut out all non US listeners. They are forced to close the jukebox to non US listeners due to lisens restrains.
Yet again the music industry shows that they have no understanding of the internet. There is indeed a market outside the US! Why can they not see that the internet opens for a global market? Closing the jukebox to non US listeners does nothing more than push even more music fans over to non-legal alternates! (Such as filesharing.)

Boycotting RIAA, or changing your habits?

There have been a lot of attempts at boycotting the RIAA, and their DRM protected music. No previous attempts at striking the Royal House of Music
have succeeded. So I purpose doing something that will, with a little fate and determination from your own side, succeed.
Change your own habits, and stop consuming RIAA music. Instead by an album or two from Magnatune - full retail disk-quality music in FLAC format (other formats, and MP3 available), or if you are tuned in to more popular culture music eMusic - 240 kbps in MP3 format.
