I have bought a high capacity Western Digital – My Book Premium Ⅱ with two harddrives of one terabyte storage capacity each. I am using RAID mirroring so effective storage capacity is reduced to one terabyte.
Digital media is broken

All the competing multimedia players, formats, and codecs have broken digital multimedia. Is it really necessary to have this many media players, add-ons, and codecs installed to be able to open videos and music? And what about my files in ten years?

Back, and forth…

…and back to KUbuntu again! It appears that KUbuntu 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" fixed all the remaining problems I have had with my sound card. After using it for a couple of days I have noticed less problems staying connected to my wi-fi network too!
My conclusion: KUbuntu currently offers the best hardware support for Lenovo N100 3000. So I switched distribution yet again.
Cnet's Buzz Out Loud Podcast
Words by Daniel Aleksandersen on 2007-03-12
My favourite Podcast is Cnet's Buzz Out Loud with Molly Wood, Veronica Belmont and Tom Merritt.
It is not directly related to open source, free software nor Linux. But I would still recommend the show here as it covers daily tech news and focus on consumer's rights, drawbacks with DRM, and other topics of that kind. They also cover cool gadgets and Web news! It is a fun and interesting round up of the last day's major news in a daily show. Definitely worth listening too.
Subscribe to Buzz Out Loud in MP3.
I have been a long time listener to the show (over a year or so), and I must say it is one of the best internet treasures you can get for free! And hey!? Molly Wood is on the show!
