DB documentation

People always tell me that MySQL is better documented than PostgreSQL and that it will be ease to get community support for it. Well, I say different. Having studied everything from basics to more niche‐advanced stuff in both documentations; I must conclude that PostgreSQL is much better documented. Why do I need all this world famous MySQL‐community‐support for; when I get all the answers I could ever come up with right in the PostgreSQL documentation!?

You may have spotted that I am a PostgreSQL fan already. However I would still like to publicly endorse this open source database. PostgreSQL is more advanced, better documented, easier to work with, and even has a better looking logo than MySQL.

Unfortunately I am being forced to use MySQL as PostgreSQL often is not available, especially in shared hosting environments. I think this is a shame, but there really is nothing I can do anything about at the time. (Subsys! I am looking at you.) I cannot justify dedicated hosting just yet either.

Have you considered PostgreSQL for your database needs?
