Back, and forth…
…and back to KUbuntu again! It appears that KUbuntu 7.04 "Feisty Fawn" fixed all the remaining problems I have had with my sound card. After using it for a couple of days I have noticed less problems staying connected to my wi-fi network too!
My conclusion: KUbuntu currently offers the best hardware support for Lenovo N100 3000. So I switched distribution yet again.

Cool. I'm using Kubuntu Feisty Fawn in my laptop (Acer travelmate) since it was in the alpha stage. Everything works fine except for the built in webcam.

Whatever works is usually good, hey, wait a moment. What am I saying. That would make Windows OK
I'm currently using openSUSE on one computer and Ubuntu on my laptop. And I would stick to openSUSE if it wasn't for the fact that YAST2's software installation is really really crappy. Ubuntu with apt-get is just incredible easy in comparison. But then again after a little while one tends to stop installing new packages and just enjoy a fully working OS. So it really doesn't matter that much.

I have no hope of ever using my built-in webcam! Actually I have no hope of ever using a webcam on Linux at all!! I use my external USB webcam with my Mac. Other than that I have no practical use of a cam anyways…
Mac OS did not work for me anymore. One of the main reasons was actually due to really poor availability of good email solutions!
YAST is not that bad actually. Especially compared with KUbuntu's Adept manager.
