MPlayer font error
Get an error every time you open MPlayer saying it cannot find a subtitle font? Here is how to fix it:
Locate a TrueType font, like Arial. It should have the extension .ttf so just locate *.ttf. Then run the following command as root user. Paths may vary based on where the fonts and MPlayer is located on the system.
cp '/usr/share/fonts/truetype/arial.ttf' '/etc/mplayer/subfont.ttf'
This will instruct MPlayer to use the copy of Arial as font for subtitles. Use any other TrueType font if that is preferred, but remember to rename it subfont.ttf.
