Email hyphens are gone!

This is just a quick grammatical encouragement.

In the past I have written e-mail with a hyphen pretty consistent. But now the hyphen is gone and I encourager others to leave the hyphen behind as well.

No one writes soft-ware, so why should we write e-mail!?

Though I do not encourager you to write electronicmail instead of electronic mail.

I might be wrong, but even some of the English newspapers dropped the hyphen a little while back. I can't brag about my consistence. I tend to write both from time to time, but I think I'll make an effort now … I think :)

It makes sense, though I haven't really thought much about it.
