Levelling off in blogging?
BBC News reported in mid December that Gartner had predicted that blogging is set to peak in 2007.
Gartner analyst Daryl Plummer said the reason for the levelling off in blogging was due to the fact that most people who would ever start a web blog had already done so.
I beg to differ as I just launched this blog, and have plans to reopen an old blog, and start a new blog! All in the first quarter of 2007!
Maybe everyone who would ever start a blog have done so, put I hardly think that is the case. And I do not think that everyone who have started one blog will continue with just the one either.
I have personally noticed an average increased posting rates for almost all blogs I subscribe to. Even the ones from my non-techy friends have had much more frequent blog posting rate the last six months. So is the blogging trend really levelling off? Well Gartner; I do not think i so. What do you think?

It may not increase at the rate it was increasing before. There are many teens or teens to be who will continue to start blogging.

Most of these teen blogs, or "emologs", only have ten or less entries. They loose interest too fast, you know…
There will primarily be technology interested folks who will be continue to blog.

What I meant was, they'll be moving towards tech world soon and start their own tech blogs just like we did, so it's not going to level off.

Should I retire from blogging?
I am fast approaching my 1,000th blog entry and have been noodling whether this is an opportunity to throw in the towel…
