Apple's DRM ilegal in Norway

One point for the good guys! Apple's digital rights management technology used in their iTunes music player, iTunes Store, and popular iPod portable music layers are violating Norwegian law, according to numerous sources. Consumer groubs in Norway, Sweden and Denmark sent a letter to Apple early last year. And today it was reported that Apple violates Norwegian law and is in fact ilegal.

Yeah, this ought to strike a blow against Nordic DRM. The question is then, how will Apple, and the music industry react? Will we see a change in the market, thus negating the need for DRMed media? (Like some rumours that are currently circulating.) Or will we see the opposite, a withdrawal from Norway?

Of course, what really interests me is when they are going to start trying to do away with copy-protections schemes on CDs …
